Background
As a native New Yorker, the complexity of this city holds me here because there is no other place that gives back as much as I can give, if not more. My appreciation of it has only grown after spending time outside of Boston, where I received my BFA in Psychology and Economics, and in Hong Kong, where I found myself pursuing a different trajectory in life. Luckily, I discovered Charles Eames, who changed my life with his work and motto, "Take your pleasures seriously." I fell in love with design, which led me back to New York City and eventually, an MFA in the Designer as Author program at the School of Visual Arts.
At this time
Currently, I am working on building the beta community of thegrandassembly.com. It is the continuation of my MFA thesis project through the generous support of Sappi Ideas that Matter, NYPL Startup! Competition, SVA Alumni Affairs, and Design Ignites Change in partnership with The Carter Burden Center for the Aging and its gallery 307.
